Nicki Scroggie
introducing
Nicki Scroggie is an emerging artist of the South Florida region whose specialty is tropical, spiritual art. She uses oil paints as her primary medium and paints with saturated hues in a impressionistic style with focused subject matter in realism.
Nicki is a cat, dog, and plant mom who loves outdoor activities like gardening, surfing, fishing, hiking, and tree-hugging. By day she is a general manager at her family tree farm, by night she is an artist and yogi. In her free time she enjoys cooking, organizing, practicing mindfulness, or cozying up with a TV show or book.
She is a mostly self-taught artist. She fell in love with painting as a medium in her high school elective “Painting” class. Here she learned the basics of oil painting from her teacher, accomplished Palm Beach artist, Tom D’Auria. He guided her through her first oil painting, Lion Fish.
Nicki’s dream job of being a professional artist seemed too far to reach, so she had put her true passions to the side and pushed herself in other extracurriculars. She was a star athlete and got a D1 offer to play lacrosse at Boston University and study in the Questrom School of Business. She entered the university in the fall of 2019.
Nicki’s college lacrosse career did not last long. In 2020, COVID-19 shook things up in her life and she was removed from her team in a series of shocking events. She decided not to move forward with the sport and refocused on her art as her primary activity outside of classes.
Over the last five years, Nicki has been experimenting with different techniques and styles to find her niche. She had fun with watercolors, spray paint, DIYs, and eventually had a reunion with oil painting.
She got her diploma from Boston University with a degree in Communication, Bachelor of Science in Advertising. Nicki got a job out of college as a Marketing Assistant in Boston but soon missed her hometown in sunny ‘So-Flo’.

Nicki’s deep love for art persisted. At the end of 2024 she decided to turn her passion into a full-on art business. The voice in her soul telling her that she was meant to pursue art for more than just a hobby became increasingly noisey, so she did it.
Her Youth collection is her first body of work that is for sale to the public. Nicki continues to refine her style and skills in art, and she has taken classes at the Boca Raton Museum of Art School. She plans on releasing more collections and is taking commissions as well.
